Project Manager - Renewables

Job Description

Salary: $125K to $155K annually

BEI Construction is seeking a Project Manager for our Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and Solar divisions. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of projects. Additionally, you will ensure projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements. This role will report to the General Manager of the divisions with frequent travel to jobsites located throughout the Bay Area.

Responsibilities & Duties

Responsible for coordinating all activities associated with the timely, accurate, and on-budget completion of the project, according to established project management procedures

Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process and lead project kickoff meetings

Manage workload distribution and monitor job progress

Responsible for effective and timely communication with customers, including change orders, on-site visits, etc.

Plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability

Review project status weekly to identify problem areas and spearhead resolutions

Raise awareness to management regarding potential claims, back charges, or large costs that will affect BEI financially on assigned projects

Ensure that any scope, schedule, cost, or change of terms are handled in accordance to stated change order procedures

Attend team meetings of all projects, statuses, and utilization

Prepare project reports as requested

Keep accurate files and records of project status and activities

Reviews all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to, the preparation of invoices, customer collections and periodic financial reporting to the customer and management

Manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work

Other duties as required or assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry is required

Minimum 3-5 years’ solar experience is preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Valid CA Driver License and MVR that meets BEI driving standards

Ability to interpret construction documents

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
