Who We Are

Studentnest is a fast-growing nationwide tutoring company that provides tutoring to K-8 students in Math and ELA (most students will be K-6).

Departments We Are Hiring For

Los Angeles County Library, 2023-2024

Job Details

Schedule: Mon/Tues - Friday, 1PM-6PM

Timeline: June 17th - August 9th (some sites starting June 10th)

Work Locations: Various Los Angeles County Libraries

Job Highlights

Pay rate:

$22 per hour standard

$23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)

$24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor

Potential to work 160 hours during the LA County Library summer period

Those looking for full-time hours will be eligible for LAUSD tutoring in the morning hours, based on location

Bonus for outstanding attendance

Gas reimbursement when working multiple programs

Opportunity to work year around with LAUSD and other school districts

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)

Established proficiency in subject matter

Detail-oriented and highly dependable

Ability to communicate effectively

Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence

Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed

Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes

Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)

Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification

National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
