Material Handler

Job Description

MINIMUM 6 MONTHS OF RECENT MATERIAL HANDLING EXPERIENCE WITHIN A WAREHOUSE.

Connect Staffing is seeking a skilled Material Handler for a company that supplies power generators and air compressors in the city of Cypress, CA.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:45pm

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months of recent material handling experience within a warehouse.

Must know how to operate a forklift

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift to 55 pounds at a time

Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Prior experience in roles such as Material Handler Warehouse Associate Inventory Control Specialist Logistics Coordinator and Distribution Technician is a huge plus!

Responsibilities:

Operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments

Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations

Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information

Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy

Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule

Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids)

Unload receiving trucks to the inbound receiving area

Move material from receiving areas to designated inventory areas

Move units from production to PDI, from PDI to Mounting, and from mounting to staging area

Mount units to trailers

Load shipping trucks with the correct units to the staging area
