JR53963 Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Global Quality (GQ) Assembly & Test Central QA (ATCQA) Snr/Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the A/T quality aspects of the assigned Micron site including External Manufacturing Subcontractor Component /Module/SSD Assembly sites. The role will be interacting with Micron different teams regarding engineering, quality and reliability aspects of our product and will also handle subcontractor quality deviation for quality performance improvement. The role will participate in regular reviews of on-site Quality audits, Site quality metrics, Change Management Process and Materials Review Board events which are part of Assembly/Test line quality performance KPIs. The role is expected to follow through with containment, recovery, corrective, and preventive actions for target misses and validate for site quality incidents that resulted in non-conformance to Micron.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both Micron quality assurance Standards and applicable government/industrial regulations

Manage and Drive Global Material Review Board (GMRB) meetings & lead Rescreening activities as a subsequent step of MRB

Collaborate and Review Major 8Ds to identify root cause, containment and validating corrective actions and preventive actions

Analyze Data for quality deviation lot disposition

Support Customer and Internal Quality Audits

Coordinate and participate in External Manufacturing Audits

Drive Micron External Manufacturing (sub-con) alignment to Micron Quality Systems and requirements

Develop and maintain Supplier Quality system (Manual, supplier qualification process, Supplier quality scorecards, Supplier Quality Notice (SQN process), Shift left quality programs)

Driving Sites to achieve Quality KPI and Metrics

Collaborate with Assembly and Test (AT) operations and engineering groups to review and approve through Change Management process (GCP)

Prepare and publish quality metric data

Reporting of Weekly / Monthly Quality Metrics

Product coverage includes DRAM, NAND, mNAND, SSD and Modules

Site Process Coordinator

Role Description: Serve as the coordinator between SLPO/SLPS for process related activities and communications for a given Perform [P] or Perform Plus [P+] locations, including supported sites.

Responsibilities:

* Understand site(s) performance KPI and coordinate action plan for the HQ business process review and improvement discussions

* Monitor usage and compliance to Micron standards, processes, methods & tools

* Maintain site(s) specific process artifacts if relevant

* Demonstrate compliance to the relevant HQ process and procedures

* Be aware of customer requirements as agreed and approved by the process owner and communicated in the BPR

* Understand process risks and opportunities assessment and monitor treatments as required

* Coordinate audit logistics under direction from the SLPO and SLPS

Main Key Focus

Support Micron sites in India on managing quality related events ranging from new product introduction to ramping to mass production. This includes Micron External Manufacturing sites in India

Close engagement with quality and reliability teams in India on ensuring outgoing product meets all requirements

Education - Required

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Material Science or a related field of study

Master’s degree will be an advantage

Experience - Required

2 to 8 years’ experience in Semiconductor component assembly & Test or Surface-Mount Technology industry as a product engineering or managing Quality.

Ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams and handle pressure situations in a professional manner.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to details.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing is critical in this role.

Good organization skills and ability to multitask and coordinate between multiple issue at any given time.

Proficient in Quality processes and procedures Control Plan, SPC, FMEA, 8D methodology, etc...

Strong data analysis capability and knowledge of software tools (JMP, Python, SQL, etc.) is an advantage.
