We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in our Oakbrook Terrace office. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of Human Resources activities, including, but not limited to, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates for open positions; collaborating with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for each opening.

Coordinating onboarding and offboarding of team members, including scheduled check-ins and exit interviews.

Serving as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures while displaying a high level of business acumen and discretion.

Facilitating performance evaluation processes, providing guidance to managers on performance-related issues, and recommending steps for improvement.

Administering the employee benefits program, coordinating open enrollment, answering employee inquiries, and coordinating with providers as needed.

Maintaining accurate employee records in various HR databases and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; SHRM or PHR certification preferred.

Five years of HR generalist experience working in a multi-location professional services environment; three years of experience sourcing and recruiting within the financial services industry.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees; demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Strong understanding of employee benefit offerings.

Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, HR technologies, and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills and the ability to develop practical solutions.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
