Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Adolescent Animal Assisted Day Treatment Program

Location: Hingham, MA

Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time, In-Person

Position Overview:

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with at least 2 years of PMHNP experience. This role involves providing psychiatric care within our adolescent at an animal-assisted day treatment program, catering to partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for adolescents and adults with various mental health concerns.

Develop individualized treatment plans collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Provide medication management and prescribe psychotropic medications as necessary.

Coordinate care with other mental health professionals to ensure holistic treatment.

Maintain accurate documentation of clinical assessments and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP specialization.

Current certification and licensure as a PMHNP in Massachusetts.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a PMHNP, preferably with adolescents.

Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatments.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse adolescent needs.
