Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Office Manager/Bookeeper in Americus GA!

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manage all accounting operations based on generally accepted accounting principles.

Assemble information for external CPA for quarterly and annual financial statements.

Conduct month-end and year-end closing process.

Collect, analyze and summarize general ledger account information.

Keep information confidential and secure by making daily database backups.

Will be responsible for compliance of federal, state and local legal requirements involving accounting, human resources and employee benefits.

Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions.

Must balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.

Maintain historical records by filing documents and maintaining orderly accounting files.

Handles discipline of office employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Must enter new employees into the payroll system, weekly timecard setup and adjust/correct timecards. Enter weekly payroll for 75 to 85 employees and remit to payroll service.

Orders office supplies and creates P.O.'s for plant.

Take all discounts available on supplier invoices and be responsible for paying all debts in a timely manner.

Supervise electronic bank deposits and transfers.

Conduct a monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts.

Must have proficient knowledge of Word, Excel and Accounting software.

Must have ability to complete job tasks for 2-3 office personnel positions supervised.

Must have excellent interpersonal and team work skills, including conflict resolution. Qualifications and Experience:

5+ years office accounting/bookkeeping experience

Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)

Administrative experience: 3 years (Preferred)

Experience in Excel, Word, and General Accounting

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to lift up to 20lbs.

(Preferred) Bachelor's degree in business related field.

(preferred) Experience using SAGE software Schedule and Compensation:

$18-$20 hr while on assignment

Once hired on Salary of $55,000/year
