Waikiki Health is seeking a part-time Community Health Worker

Pay rate for this role is $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 20 hour work week

The Community Health Worker is responsible for ensuring the Youth Outreach (YO!) Clinic operates smoothly.

Qualifications

● College degree required or commensurate experience in a health-related field.

● Must have experience or education in health or social services procedures and/or at least 1 year of experience in a related field.

● Certified Community Health Worker preferred or willingness to be trained.

● Experience working with at-risk youth or those experiencing homelessness preferred.

● Must be organized and able to complete all assigned tasks.

● Hawaii driver’s license with clean 5-year loss from their car insurance.

General Duties include but are not limited to

● Be present during drop-in hours to build rapport, talk story, and assist youth with their needs.

● Function as a part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes other Waikiki Health staff and partner agency Hale Kipa staff.

● Assists medical, behavioral, and dental health providers at the YO! Clinic.

● Chart and document service encounters in a matter that is unbiased and maintains patient dignity.

● Provide youth with insurance navigation services, including but not limited to the application process.

● Other duties as assigned
