Responsibilities
New temporary project opportunity for a Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting team based in our Mexico City, MX office with responsibility for the company Accounts Receivable and Collection, Revenue and Tax activities.
Manage and perform the tasks associated with Accounts Receivable and Collections
Includes the processing of AR Invoices and Credits, Bank Warranties, and payment application, order reviews, credit checks and general AR duties
Performance of credit check, order releases to policy guidelines
Perform credit checks – both new and existing customers
Reconciliation between SAP and CFDI related to invoices and customer advances registration review.
Apply payments to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to policies and procedures
Manage the AR portfolio for collections by following up with customers on past due balances and obtaining payment commitments
Research and collaborate with internal teams from Sales, Order Management, Shared Services and Accounting driving resolution to disputed invoices
Reconcile and resolve misapplied payments, unapplied payments, and customer advances promptly.
Escalate collection issues to management for review and guidance.
Prepare reserve analysis
Perform customer account reconciliations
Perform cash forecasting while managing payment flows to support the business and within controls.
Review and Record revenue, deferred revenue, customer advances in accordance with Bruker policy
Prepare journal entries in all aspects of AR, Revenue and collection
Proactively resolve day-to-day issues and escalations when appropriate
Proactively mitigate risks through management of controls and process improvements.
Ensure the compliance to internal controls where required
General Accounting knowledge to support AR transactions, manual journal entries and reconciliations within SAP
Prepare and report all required taxes as directed.
Participate and support projects in AR process area to enable collection activities
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5+ years of recent and related work experience in AR, Collections and Revenue for a global company
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
SAP experience preferred but not required
CFDI experience required
Build and maintain positive business relationships with internal teams and external customers
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to assess situations to determine importance, urgency and risks allowing for timing decisions
Proven ability to communicate effectively with excellent oral and written skills that consistently reflect a friendly, positive, and professional approach
Ability to successfully complete position training requirements
English required
Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by country of residence
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
