This position offers an opportunity to work on high profile projects that will significantly contribute to the growth of Simcorp’s businesses as well as build your personal knowledge of a wide variety of financial products.

The team consists of engineers in Buenos Aires working on the web front end of a cloud based risk analytics engine that works on equities, fixed income, and multi-asset instruments. The web front end uses a common library also used in many of Simcorp’s internal tooling.

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, self-starting and delivery-focused engineer with an enthusiasm for learning new cloud technologies.

Simcorp values teamwork and commitment. We are a global company with offices in the UK, Europe, and North and South America. The candidate should demonstrate an ability to work effectively with both local and remote colleagues.

Responsibilities

As a software engineer at SimCorp, you will have the opportunity to:

Plan and prioritize through interaction with business stakeholders including Product, UX Design, and Customer Experience to ensure our solutions meet our customer needs.

Develop, maintain, and enhance UI and application code for our Analytics software products Collaborate with our Product, Research, UX Design, and Customer Experience teams to ensure that our solutions meet our customer needs

Design solutions that can be used across multiple web site in different use cases

Collaborate with other developers across the organization in our guilds, sprint reviews, or knowledge sharing sessions to foster a vibrant engineering culture

Requirements

3+ years of experience in Javascript and Typescript.

Experience with front end frameworks including Angular, Vue.js, or React required.

Experience with Agile software development practices, JIRA, Github and SonarQube

Fluent written and spoken English

2+ years of experience with cloud technologies

2+ years building software with test automation in mind

Preferred

Experience of financial markets and products

Experience with graphing libraries like D3 or Hot Charts.

Github Actions experience

Experience working with SQL and relational databases

Storybook experience

Familiarity with Azure and Azure cloud native technologies

Experience working in an environment following Continuous Delivery best practices

Experience developing web services

Azure and Azure cloud-native technologies
