Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer

Location: Irving, TX 75039

Work Model: Onsite Position, no relocation available.

Pay Rate: $60-$70/hour

Conversion Salary Range: $115K-$125K

Job Description: We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join our growing team and be a part of an exciting phase of our journey to redesign the data infrastructure. This Engineer's primary objectives will be designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines in Azure to ensure compliance with up-time, security, and privacy, as well as implementing API-based integrations to supporting continual increases in data volume/complexity. Additionally, this Engineer will actively contribute to both data & application governance initiatives by designing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices, while collaborating with report developers/analysts and business teams to improve data models that feed BI tools and increase data accessibility. Here, this individual will play a large part of building & maintaining the infrastructure required for optimal ETL processes (data extraction, transformation, and loading) from a wide variety of sources using SQL, Python, and/or Scala. This person will also have the opportunity to be involved in conversations around strategy for long term data platform architecture. We are looking for someone with advanced SQL skills to retrieve data from systems, create integrated datasets, update, and create data tables/views as well as strong experience with data processing systems in an Azure environment (ADLS/Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database).

-Experience in enterprise data governance, data modeling/warehousing and data management
