JOB TITLE: Computer Programmer II

LOCATION: Dover, NH

SUPPORTING: Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning & Procurement (SUBMEPP)

JOB CATEGORY: Full-Time Service Contract Act (SCA)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

WORK MODEL: Patrona Corporation prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely. This is an onsite position, and you will work in-person from a Patrona or customer site.

COMPENSATION: This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position, and the hourly rate and health & welfare benefit is based on the applicable Wage Determination.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High School or GED equivalent Technical School diploma.

Minimum two (2) years of building, maintaining, and administrating relational databases.

Strong knowledge of and/or experience with implementing database normalization principles.

Minimum two (2) years of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming experience, with a focus on maintaining legacy codebases. Note: this is not VB.NET.

Experience with writing performant Structured Query Language (SQL) statements/queries in an environment that requires as much optimization as possible.

Experience with Microsoft Access databases that are split into separate frontends and backends.

Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel for design and editing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance and optimizations on existing Microsoft Access databases.

Apply programming best practices alongside data integrity principles to provide and maintain an accurate and complete view of office deliverables.

Perform code tests and reviews to ensure high quality code is written.

Perform objective and milestone reviews with management to ensure their needs are being met.

Perform as-needed meetings with managers to gain insight into their processes and provide more efficient solutions.

Write documentation of existing code features and processes.

Debug any errors that arise during use of in-house software.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Any knowledge of GitHub, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server/SQLite is a bonus.

Front End Development experience is a plus.
