The Job:

The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication of metal sheets used in roofing projects. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, using machinery for metalworking, and ensuring the precise construction of metal roofs and components.

Responsibilities:

Cut, bend, and assemble metal sheets and structures using tools and machinery.

Interpret project blueprints and architectural drawings to determine the size and shape of the required metalwork.

Ensure that fabricated metal sheets meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections to verify accuracy.

Adhere to all safety protocols during fabrication, conducting safety checks on equipment and gear.

Address and resolve technical issues related to metal fabrication.

Oversee the storage and handling of materials to ensure availability and quality.

Work closely with project managers and other construction staff to ensure seamless integration of metal components into roofing projects. Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years in metal fabrication, particularly in the roofing or construction industry.

Strong skills in metalworking and familiarity with fabrication machinery.

Capable of physically demanding tasks.

Precision in following blueprints and making accurate measurements.

Understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA regulations.
