Position Summary:

Assists therapists and therapy assistants in performance of daily patient treatment programs. Is responsible for cleaning and simple maintenance of equipment. Assists with maintenance of department inventory and ordering of general departmental supplies. Escorting patients and performance of some basic clerical duties may be required.

Assists therapists in the provision of patient care.

Responsible for equipment and supply inventory management including ordering, maintenance logs and cleaning schedules.

Supports the Office Coordinator and Clerk/Receptionists with front office duties including faxing, answering phones, checking billing.

Completes special projects and tasks assigned by supervisors and therapists to facilitate the smooth running of therapy services.

Projects a positive attitude and demeanor with patients and colleagues fostering a remarkable patient experience.

Safety and Infection Control Responsibilities:

Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work environment, including unit based specific safety and infection control requirements.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of rehabilitation outpatient and inpatient settings preferred .

Basic knowledge of the use of physical agents and modalities in the provision of patient care preferred.

Computer skills with Microsoft applications preferred: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Genuine affinity of customer service required.

1-2 years related experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Certification:

Current BCLS certification required

*Salary/Hourly wage range for this position is posted. Actual pay will be determined based on verified experience as well as internal equity.
