Overview:

The Acute Care Laboratory at in Princeton, MN is looking to fill one (1) casual Courier position. This position has variable hours (approximately 12 – 20 hours per 2-week pay period) based on Northland laboratory’s transportation needs. The ideal applicant will reside within 25 minutes of Fairview Northland Medical Center. This Courier will travel within our region, to/from Memorial Blood Center in St. Paul, to/from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and other Fairview sites as requested.

Respond to STAT orders and complete STAT deliveries in a timely manner as determined by business need.

Use personal vehicle to make timely pickups and deliveries

Use personal cell phone to communicate delivery status

Maintain a reliable working vehicle

Ability to drive in all types of weather

Handle biohazard materials safely

Handle blood borne pathogens using universal precautions

Abide by HIPAA laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Required

Experience

Experience using maps and/or GPS technology for directions

License/Certification/Registration

Maintain a current driver licence

Maintain an active vehicle insurance policy

Additional: must be able to respond to STAT orders and complete STAT deliveries in a timely manner as determined by business need.

Experience

Experience handling biohazard materials safely

Experience handling blood borne pathogens using universal precautions

Knowledge of HIPAA laws and regulations
