STAFF NURSE

• Prepares patients for operations, properly interviews patients, checks if procedures/preparations are properly followed

• Administers injections, skin-testing properly

• Monitors and assesses patients conditions during and after the operation

• Prepares administers medications and treatments to patients as requested by the attending physician

• Ensures completeness of surgical set-up

• Ensures accurate counting and recording of instruments, needles, sutures, sponges and other supplies before and after OR procedure

• Assists surgeons and other other members of the surgical team; anticipates needs of the doctors

• Maintains complete operating room files, ensures complete patient information on every OR logbook

• Maintains confidentiality and safe-keeping of patients' records

• Monitors OR supplies and coordinates with purchasing department

• Performs other duties assigned
