TITLE:Quality Systems & Compliance Engineer

LOCATION:ITASCA, IL

DEPARTMENT:Quality

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

This role will work on global compliance to Quality, Environmental, Occupational and Corporate Social Responsibility Management Systems. Responsible for monitoring and reporting of Quality metrics across the business and executing business system improvements across our global locations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly lead / manage ISO compliance at Knowles headquarters, as well as support global factory teams’ QMS teams to maintain compliance to ISO and other certifications.

Maintain the company’s quality manual and make appropriate changes as needed.

Administer new policies and procedures to aid in the improvement of the company’s Quality Management Systems.

Provide training regarding established quality procedures in regards to ISO9001:2015 certifications.

Manage internal audit programs and provide any required support to overseas facilities regarding the Quality Management Systems policies & procedures.

Act as a CAPA and Calibration Coordinator in managing the CAPA and Calibration program.

Assist Quality Management teams regarding continuous improvement activities across Knowles.

Perform product reviews and respond to customer inquiries with regards with material compliance.

Provide support to customer in the full material disclosure, CMRT, CRT and lab test report.

Support Material Compliance processes and controls for REACH, ROHS, and applicable industry material compliance requirements.

Experience with sustainability programs is a plus.

Perform other duties assigned by the management.

POSITION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology field. Master’s degree a plus.

5 + years Quality Management Systems & Compliance management experience (Electronics manufacturing experience a plus).

Planning, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems. Extensive understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001.

Experience with REACH/ROHS and other material compliance requirements applicable to electronics or comparable industry.

Ability to drive results, influence and bring projects and programs to closure.

Attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team while providing results-oriented direction to others to complete projects within required timeframes.

Strong communication skills (written, verbal, electronic) and interpersonal skills at all levels of management (listening, group facilitation).

Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Experience navigating Oracle or other ERP systems.

Proficient in using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
