RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST

• Performs diagnostic and radiographic examinations properly, with or without contrast media.

• Check and verifies x-ray request vis a vis official receipt and confirm type of examination to be done and ensure completeness of patient information.

• Gives instructions and explains to patient what to expect in the examination/procedure, makes sure patient understand the procedure explained.

• Prepares items and equipment necessary for the procedure requested to be done.

• Positions the patient before, during and after the procedure according to the examination requested.

• Determines length and intensity of exposures appropriate for the procedure.

• Performs the desired examination accurately and with proper care.

• Assists radiologists in all special procedures and ultrasound examinations.

• Develop films by manual or automatic processing.

• Maintains, adjusts and makes minor repairs on x-ray equipment.

• Observes collaboration of machines and files service reports during machine collaboration and repairs.

• Prepares monthly patient census.

• To perform other duties as may be required by the management.
