Accounts Payable

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for accurate and timely payments to our customers (high volume and value) - payments are weekly, fortnightly and monthly

Maintain accurate payment reports and records, detailing payments due and payments processed

Assist with cash flow reporting for supplier payments

Support ticket management

Assist with other ad hoc tasks relating to supplier payments and treasury

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

Key Skills:

Intuitive, great attention to details and experience working with payments in multiple jurisdictions, methods and currencies

Understanding of different bank platforms and alternative payment platforms, such as Currency Cloud, Paypal and Payoneer

Good knowledge and skills with using Google spreadsheets and Excel spreadsheets

Able to work with a high level of accuracy and to strict deadlines

Great communication skills in English that you will use when connecting directly with our suppliers and internal team members

Good knowledge and skills with using Google spreadsheets and Excel spreadsheets

Good planning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Some experience using accounting software would be advantageous

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

No degree required though studying to a Finance/Accounting degree is preferred

Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous

At least 2 years of experience in Accounting

Demonstrated competency in the following areas is also required:

Proven ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with a positive attitude

Strong communication skills in written English and ability to communicate effectively

Proven to be a lead-taker, and able to work with passion without the need for constant coaching or manager intervention

Ability to build rapport with third-party partners and transact assertively but politely
