Merchandising Manager
A Merchandising Manager is responsible for planning and executing strategies to optimize product assortments, pricing, and placement to maximize sales and profitability. Their duties typically include:
Analyzing market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for product assortment expansion or adjustment.
Collaborating with suppliers or manufacturers to negotiate pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
Developing merchandising plans and promotional strategies to drive sales and meet financial targets.
Monitoring and analyzing sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to make data-driven decisions.
Coordinating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and sales to align merchandising efforts with overall business objectives.
Leading and motivating a team of merchandising associates, providing guidance and support to achieve department goals.
Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform merchandising strategies and tactics.
Must have knowledge on Visual Merchandising. Designing and implementing visually appealing displays and layouts to showcase products effectively, attract customers, and enhance the overall shopping experience.
Must have knowledge on Inventory Management. Ensuring accurate inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with the supply chain team to replenish merchandise as needed.
Must have knowledge on Product Placement. Strategically placing merchandise throughout the store to optimize sales and create a logical flow for customers, including cross-merchandising and seasonal displays.
Must have knowledge on Planogram Execution. Implementing planograms and guidelines provided by the corporate office to maintain consistency in product placement and presentation across all store locations.
Must have knowledge on Promotions and Pricing. Collaborating with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities, including sales, discounts, and special offers, while also ensuring adherence to pricing policies and guidelines.
Must have knowledge and experience on Training and Development. Providing training and guidance to store staff on merchandising techniques, product knowledge, and visual standards to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.
Preferred Field of Expertise:
Marketing, Business Management, any other related degree
Basic Skills and Requirements:
Knows to get the right product at the right place, time, quantity and price.
Able to produce by providing point of purchase and shelf management series
Sales driven
