This position will be scheduled to work Wednesday - Friday and every other Saturday, 6:00PM - 6:00AM.

I. Position Overview:

The position is responsible for packaging and inspecting pharmaceutical products in accordance with packaging instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) while adhering to health and safety requirements.

II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

Monitor and direct employee position rotations on the line.

Assist team lead in the coordination of OJT.

Make certain material inventory is correct by verifying it against paperwork.

Perform routine maintenance, set-ups, changeovers, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment as necessary.

Count rejects.

Place packed items in cartons, seal and apply shipper label and stack carton on skid.

Inform Technician of any machine problems.

Must be cross-trained on all lines within assigned quadrant.

Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.

Identify, evaluate, and manage risk to ensure product quality. Communicate risk policies and processes throughout the organization.

Other duties as assigned.

III. Position Requirements:

Education or Equivalent:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum one year experience working in manufacturing, preferably pharmaceuticals

Experience in a packaging operation beneficial.

Experience in performing dimensional evaluations desired.

Functional testing experience desired.

Demonstrated leadership ability.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

High level of attention to detail.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Works well in a team environment. Fosters teamwork to get results.

Possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.

Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments.

Basic mathematical and reasoning ability.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Perform independent work related to projects and/or routine activities.

Review paperwork, etc. for accuracy and logic.

Meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.

Must be proactive and willing to take initiative and responsibility.

Should be familiar with cGMP and safe work practices.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.

Physical Requirements:

Visual Acuity (20/30 corrected vision).

Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, listening, writing, handling, grasping

Occasional climbing ladders/steps walking up inclines and uneven terrain, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, turning, balancing, carrying

Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
