Warehouse Operations Manager

OnTrac is hiring an AM Operations Manager

Location: Brand new facility coming soon to Mount Prospect, IL!

Employment Logistics:

The AM Operations Manager consults and coordinates with the Facility General Manager and the PM Operations Manager and works closely with Dispatchers and Delivery Personnel to supervise and coordinate all activities of the AM facility operations.

The Must-Haves:

GED/Diploma required; college degree preferred

Seven years of experience in logistics and/or transportation or can be less if college-degreed

A minimum of five years of experience managing people, three of which being in a similar industry

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills

Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback

Your Mission in Motion:

Review, analyze and create KPI’s to meet the needs of the business

Record line haul time of arrival, destination, cargo, and departure time and expected arrival time at the next destination

Plan and coordinate sort start times and partner to define and develop staffing strategies needed to conduct the sort

Develop and mentor team to meet goals and assist in professional development

Champion safety program, encouraging a safe and compliant working environment

Work with GM to learn budget labor hours, labor hours, safety compliance, mis-sorts, and schedules. Analyze, reorganize, and prioritize training and labor law compliance.
