Controls Engineer
Description:
Designs, develops, installs, and supports industrial control systems and Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
Provides project management services on directly assigned projects.
Interfaces with customers during the design and implementation of control systems.
Assists in the development of quotations and functional specifications.
May be required to work independently or as a member of a project team.
May provide training in control systems concepts, practices, and procedures to other Controls Engineers.
Develops and maintains good customer relations.
Reports to the Manager of Controls.
Required Qualifications Requires a bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or an associates degree in an engineering or technical discipline plus 2 years of equivalent field experience.
Experience with control system design and implementation concepts, practices, and procedures.
Experience with programmable controllers, motor/motor controllers, electronic sensors and instrumentation.
Experience reading P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) drawings and electrical schematics.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) software, Microsoft Office applications, and AutoCAD.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards, regulations and practices.; Experience with servo controls.
Automation, validation, and GMP experience in the pharmaceutical/medical devices industry.
