Architect 3 for Western Alliance Bank – Irving, TX Job Description: Design and deploy highly-available, secure and scalable hybrid Cloud solutions utilizing Cloud native and on-premises services based on industry best practices.

Develop effective monitoring, logging and auditing of production systems to satisfy information technology (IT) governance and risk-mandated compliance policies.

Apply methodology and governance to minimize business and technical risks and adhere to quality assurance while contributing to the design and delivery of solutions.

Create conceptual, logical and physical architecture documents for Cloud-based solutions.

Develop Cloud-based engineering and technology standards for enterprise architecture.

Analyze new and emerging trends in Cloud architecture to ensure standards remain current and relevant.

Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services within the domain of Cloud architecture.

Establish relationships with strategic public and hybrid Cloud vendors to acquire knowledge partnerships, and collaborate on potential architectural solutions and technology acquisitions.

Communicate architectural solutions to IT senior leaders and critical stakeholders throughout the architecture planning and design process Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Requires 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree.

Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Cloud computing, storage, and networking technologies, including EC2, Elastic BeanStalk, Amazon Lambda, Amazon Batch, Amazon Serverless, Amazon S3, EBS, EFS, Amazon VPC, TGW, CloudFront, and Direct Connect; IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless, Containers, Cloud automation, AWS CloudFormation, and Amazon Cognito; AWS networking technologies, including VPC, DNS, Load balancers, firewalls, routing, and proxies; AWS Directory Service, AWS Key Management Service, Amazon GuardDuty, and AWS Shield; RBAC, AWS Control Tower, AWS Cost Explorer, and AWS Systems Manager; AWS CloudShell, PowerShell and Command Line Interface (CLI) modules; Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines that include security scanning (SAST and DAST), containerized deployments, and automated testing capabilities such as unit tests and regressions tests.
