Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (ME1) Location: Plano, Texas Employer: John Mezzalingua Associates LLC d/b/a JMA Wireless Salary: $106,059 per year

Job Duties:

Design, develop and enhance mechanical components in wireless/base station antennas and other related products.

Design and execute mechanical/environmental tests and data analysis.

Design, develop, prototype, model, and optimize new designs/parts by using multi-functional manufacturing techniques such as injection molding, machining, die casting, sheet metal forming, fabrication, aluminum and thermoplastic extrusion, and electronic assembly process.

Conduct structural and thermal analysis for antenna design utilizing Ansys Icepack, Ansys Workbench or other simulation tools, with the goal of reducing costs on high-volume Wireless/RF products without sacrificing product quality.

Create mechanical engineering design specifications.

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or another mechanical engineering role.

All of the required experience must have included: performing mechanical modeling, simulation and analysis using Finite Element Methods (FEM), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Finite Difference Method (FDM); using ANSYS (Fluent, Workbench or Icepack) to determine product response; applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and GD&T in a high volume manufacturing environment; developing 3D CAD models using Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor; and designing and generating parts for sheet metal forming processes, CNC machining, plastic injection molded parts, and plastic and die casting.

This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Plano, TX office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. #LI-DNI
