Stier Supply Company is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable clerk to join our team. We are looking for an individual with AP experience, bookkeeping and invoicing skills, as well as general office support.

Responsibilities

Matching the Supplier invoices to the Stock receipts in Bistrack on a timely and daily basis. Making sure all invoices are accounted for and documented in the system daily which includes going onto to vendors websites to print, research and resolve AP invoices.

Reconciling any discrepancies, the supplier invoice may have & resolving them in a timely manner in Bistrack. This includes communicating with the appropriate person whether it be the vendor and/or coworker what the issues is. Keeping track of all discrepancies and following up to make sure the discrepancy is resolved timely.

Reconciled vendor statements: Review vendor statements monthly to assure all discrepancies are resolved with vendor and Supervisor/CFO are kept appraised of significant issues.

Process the checks weekly. This includes making sure all appropriate paperwork is attached, they are reviewed and signed by the CFO and are mailed and/or distributed.

Perform special projects as assigned

Assisting other AP & AR clerks during times of spikes in workload

Maintain the AP inventory files

Act as backup to AP & Billing personnel

Other miscellaneous office duties; going to the post office once a week, answering phones. etc.

Skills

AP experience

Good communications skills, both oral and written

Solid working knowledge of Excel

Attention to detail

Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them with minimal supervision

Team player with a positive attitude
