JOB DESCRIPTION:

Session A : June 24, 2024- June 28, 2024

Session B : July 8, 2024 - July 12, 2024

Session C: July 15, 2024 - July 19, 2024

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Summer Camp Cook in purchasing, receiving, preparing, and serving all meals for the 3-week-long (M-F) sessions of summer camp, in June and July, at the Phoebe Hall Knipling Outdoor Lab's Summer Camp located in Broad Run (Fauquier County), VA

Assist in maintaining a clean kitchen that meets health department standards.

Other duties as assigned by Camp Cook or Camp Director EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to take direction from the Head Cook and Camp Director

Ability to work efficiently, be courteous to staff and campers

Be reliable and punctual

Certification in safe commercial kitchen food handling practices CONTACT INFORMATION:

APPLY TO: SALARY:

Summer School Assistants who are APS employees during the year will be paid- Hourly rate or $16.15/hr., whichever is higher. (Please note Salary earned relative to summer school employment will not be included in the employee's creditable compensation amount reported to the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).) Retired APS Assistants will be paid $26.24 per hour. Non-APS Assistants will be paid $16.15 per hour.
