Description

You are responsible for assisting a Dog Trainer and/or Senior Dog Trainer in all aspects of delivering training services at your assigned locations. This includes performing group classes, train and play sessions, and private lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing New Dog Integrations, Behavior Evaluations, and Walk Assessments

Performing group classes, private lessons and Train and Play Sessions

Following up directly with clients on the details of their dog's behavior (whether results from training services or otherwise)

Communicating the behavior needs of dogs to all relevant staff

Training associates on recognizing key dog behavior in order to create a safe and fun environment for all dogs

Driving revenue (both training and otherwise) from clients based on their dog's behavior needs

Documenting in detail all client communications and dog observations into PetShop

Learning communication techniques to become an effective client advocate

Studying and reading about dog behavior through resources in company library

Assisting at off-site events

Salary: $16.00/ hour

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.

Minimum of one-year experience working with and / or handling dogs in a professional setting.

Must own an iPhone or Android device.

Knowledge of Biscuits & Bath and a genuine interest in the well-being of dogs.

Ability to learn about and understand each dog as an individual with his or her own personality traits, good and bad habits, past experiences, etc.

Ability to juggle a variety of responsibilities, while balancing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.

High degree of independent decision-making and problem-solving capability.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50lb +, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time and perform requirements of the job.

Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word) and Internet savvy.
