Part-time: 15-20 hours per week, 8:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday.

Summary: Primarily handles walk-in customers and counter sales associated with the store location.

Makes quotations on standard items, processes orders, and relays pertinent information to customers.

Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and provides value added services to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Receives requests for product selection, price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers.

Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them best possible customer service.

Uses corporate ERP system (P21) to retrieve customer information, stock status information, purchase order status, and make changes to customer purchase orders.

Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.

Performs regular "cycle counting" of stock inventory.

Regularly uses hand tools (chop saws, cut-off saws, and hydraulic crimper) to make custom hose-assemblies for walk-in customers.

Must be able to read measurements on a ruler, digital calibrator, tape measure, etc.

Must frequently research part numbers and specifications in vendor catalogs.

Operates the retail counter by handling walk-in cash and credit card sales.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment including maintaining aisle ways, keeping warehouse stock neat and orderly, removing trash and recycling to appropriate dumpster.

Assist in physical count of inventory This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills Individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn corporate ERP system.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ability to become forklift certified.

Other Skills and Abilities Mechanical Aptitude and Numerical Reasoning required.
