Summer Camp Counselor

The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is currently accepting applications for a Summer Camp Counselors.

The Raritan Bay Area YMCA has served the ever-evolving needs of our community since 1912. We enthusiastically serve over 6,000 members in the Raritan Bay area in our community building initiatives through Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility.

Under the supervision of the Director of Childcare, the Summer Camp Counselor will provide direct supervision of a group of children in the seasonal Summer Day Camp. The Summer Camp Counselor will also be responsible for providing a safe and conducive environment for children to interact and engage in age-appropriate program activities following the guidelines set by the Raritan Bay Area YMCA.

Other functions include to assist in planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities that will provide our campers with a diverse and enriching camp experience.

Camp runs from July 1 through August 23

Requirements

Minimum age of 18

Passion for working with children

Previous experience working with children

A background in recreation, camping or sports is desirable.

Salary Description

$15.13/hour
