Alliance Redwoods is a year-round Christian Camp and Conference Center nestled in the heart of the California Redwoods, which provides a magnificent 115-acre outdoor classroom for students to learn and grow and serves over 55,000 visitors per year. Our mission is to provide "Service as Tall as our Trees", and we are seeking a Chef in our Food Services team who can do just that. This position will serve on a vibrant service-oriented team, providing an enjoyable dining experience through excellent service, and a friendly and willing attitude, resulting in professional hospitality to all guest and co-workers.

Compensation: $22-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience; on-site housing may be available for full-time candidates.
Description of Duties
Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks based on menu selection as directed by Food Service Director
Supervise and oversee shifts and staff, ensuring quality preparation of all meals
Oversee inventory and orders of food deliveries
Oversee Allergy and guest good service requests
Oversee in all kitchen cleaning activities
Oversee in storage and organization of food deliveries
Assist in salad/fruit bar prep as needed
Maintain kitchen and dining facilities cleanliness: sweep/mop/wipe down
Maintain hot and cold food service lines stocking/cleaning/shut down
Operate dish machine and cleanup of all utensils/pots/pans as needed
Perform additional tasks as directed by Food Service Director

Able to oversee/supervise Food Service Assistants in daily tasks as needed
Able to grasp simple mathematical conversions of recipe amounts, weights and measurements
Skilled in usage of food service equipment and tools as related to food preparation
Able to work under time sensitive deadlines and perform under pressure
In good physical condition, having full range of motion and able to lift heavy objects in excess of 40lbs.
Must have a valid drivers license and pass background chetokbe eligible for employment
Education:
Culinary Degree preferred, or any combination of training and experience which would provide the knowledge and abilities to succeed in this position.
Current ServSafe® handlers card preferred.
Experience:
One year line cook or catering experience preferred.
Experience in hotel-production cooking a plus.
