Community and School Based (CSBBH) Mobile Therapist

Dickinson Center, Inc. has provided a continuum of mental health, intellectual disability, and children's prevention services in northwestern Pennsylvania since 1958. We are a progressive non-profit organization with almost 180 employees and an annual operating budget of nearly $10 million.

The mobile therapist (MT) provides direct treatment services to children, adolescents, and families following family systems theory, social ecological theory, behavioral therapies theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy theory, etc. Approaches to treatment include individual, family, and group therapies across a variety of settings: home, school, and community. Working in a team along with a behavioral health technician (BHT), the MT is the senior team leader and provides training, support, and supervision to the BHT.

This is a full-time position with non-traditional hours that may include evenings and weekends.

Education/Experience

Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker.

Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Dept of Education or Council for Higher Education

Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with a least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Dept. of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation

Certifications, Licenses & Other Requirements

Possess a current and valid driver's license issued by your state of residence and be able to operate an agency and/or personal vehicle safely during various weather patterns whether it be daytime or nighttime

Be at least 21 years of age and have a driving record that meets the requirements of the DCI Vehicle Fleet Policy.

Have reliable transportation, as the job requires use of employee's personal vehicle.
