Posting Summary Position Title Culinary Coordinator Position Number 3588 Branch Academic Affairs Division Math/Natural Sciences Department Culinary Arts Job Description The Culinary Coordinator provides special project support services to the areas of Culinary, Hospitality, and Horticulture.

Projects and tasks are identified and assigned by the Dean.

1.

Provides a broad array of special project support for the Dean and, on an as needed basis, the CHH faculty and staff.

2.

Assesses, prioritizes, and coordinates tasks and projects to meet various needs with various deadlines.

3.

Performs a range of duties on an as-needed basis, that may include, but are not limited to, data collection and basic research; assisting with departmental or project planning and organization; composing reports, letters, emails, and documents; making phone calls; attending and facilitating meetings; conducting presentations; supporting outreach and community relationship efforts; and assisting with CHH events; along with a variety of other tasks related to special projects, as determined by the Dean.

4.

Performs a variety of administrative tasks as necessary to complete a project, including copying, faxing, filing, data entry, and editing.

5.

Works as a team member to implement plans and execute projects, if needed.

Assists with the project management or progress evaluation, as necessary.

6.

Communicates and collaborates with appropriate College offices, faculty, or staff.

7.

Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1.

Basic skills in project management.

2.

Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office, Windows, email, and other basic computer software required for project needs.

3.

Ability to download information from the internet and organize it into computer and hard copy files.

4.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

5.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

6.

Ability to type.

7.

Planning and organizational skills.

8.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

9.

Ability to conduct basic research needed to gather information for project support.

10.

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a team environment.

11.

Ability to be flexible and respond immediately, as needed.

12.

Ability to maintain professionalism, patience, and understanding in stressful situations.

13.

Ability to communicate one-on-one and with groups.

14.

Ability to use office equipment, including the computer, photocopier, scanner, shredder, fax machine, typewriter, and telephone.

15.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

16.

Ability to work well with others.

17.

Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.
