The Export sales department in the segment of the in Houston, Texas is responsible for supporting the sales of power electronics equipment for oil&gas and industrial markets. Customers are typically oil-service companies, OEMs, EPSs, and dealers in industrial markets. The equipment we develop, manufacture, and service are primarily low- and medium-voltage drives, downhole sensors, and linear ESP.

We are looking for a specialist with a good level of knowledge in the field of electrics, electronics, and mechanics, who knows the principles of operation of low, medium, and high voltage equipment, has skills in setting up this equipment.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Technical support engineer is responsible for providing uninterrupted service of products in the region of location, equipment commissioning, repair and maintenance services. Perform business trips in the region of the base.

Carry out commissioning of new equipment at the Customer's facilities.

Support Equipment Pilot Operations (pilot tests), ensuring that assigned pilot tests timelines and goals are met for all company products.

Provide pre-project inspection of customer's facilities, in preparation for the first implementation of new products (for the market - General Industry).

Perform out repairs of equipment. Maintain records and planning of spare parts for timely uninterrupted product service in the region.

Receive equipment from the manufacturer's plant, arrange delivery to the customer's facilities, and control the accuracy of order paperwork.

Consult the Customer's representatives on service maintenance and operation of the equipment. Receive incoming requests from customers for paid services. Conduct customer satisfaction survey on delivered and operated equipment.

Collect and identify information on technical problems of the customer, to formulate proposals to improve the performance of the equipment in operation, and technical process of customers.

Participate in commission investigations of equipment failures at the Customer's or third party's premises.

Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions developed to improve the quality of equipment delivered to Customers.

Keep daily reports on completed work in CRM Bitrix24.

Job Specifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics/ or two-year technical degree with additional 3 years of relevant experience.

Certificates and diplomas confirm the verification of knowledge in the main profession.

Experience in maintenance and operation of converter equipment, from 3 years and more (frequency converters, VSD).

Experience in Artificial Lift Operations is preferred. Possession of complex measuring instruments (oscilloscope, megohmmeter, network analyzer, etc.).

Skills of organization of commissioning works.

Computer proficiency is required.

Previous Customer-facing experience preferred.

Technical English Upper-Intermediate (B2) or above.

Readiness for business trips up to 1 month.

Electrical safety certificate above 1000 V, certificate permitting work on offshore platforms is welcome.

Work permission.

Availability of a B-category driver's license.

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customers in the region.

Able to understand and follow routine verbal and written instructions.

Working Conditions

Able to work a flexible schedule, work long hours and/or irregular hours, travel on-call with short notice and, from time to time, work in extreme weather conditions.

Pass a background check, physical examination and drug screen.

Full-time job, direct contract with the employer.
