Oncology Nurse

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses specializing in Oncology for a hospital in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to oncology patients, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Pay: $70/hr with weekly pay

Duties of the Oncology Nurse:

Administer chemotherapy treatments and medications as prescribed

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and side effects

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management

Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans

Perform assessments, including physical examinations and symptom evaluations

Assist in procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures

Document patient care activities accurately and timely

Active NYS RN License

ACLS - AHA Required

BLA - AHA Required

Chemotherapy Certification Required

Knowledge of workers' compensation law related to oncology patients

Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for oncology diagnosis and treatment

Ability to ventilate patients when necessary

Experience in ostomy care for patients undergoing surgical interventions

Understanding of trauma medicine principles in an oncology setting

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards

Skill in dialysis procedures for patients with renal complications

Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment for symptom management
