Senior Software Engineer

We provide technology advancements and improvements to ensure Warfighters possess reliable, resilient communications against all adversaries, anywhere, anytime, in all domains, and in all environments. Key facets of this work will include maturing technologies that assist in improved Situational Awareness and Command & Control; Software Integration with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) products that include, Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK), Windows Tactical Assault Kit (WinTAK) and TAK Server

ACI is currently seeking a developer to join our team of professionals in Hamilton Township, NJ. Telework opportunites are available for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as subject matter expert for all computer and software related aspects of assigned program.

Design and implement software solutions for back-end and front-end development for interactive web/mobile applications.

Performs engineering and scientific work involving the design, development, and operation of man portable computer systems, including hardware and software and their integration with other systems and peripherals.

Required Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, a US Government clearance is required, and all applicants must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field and 25 years' of relevant experience, or

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 20 years' of relevant experience, or

Master’s degree in a non-realted field and 20 years' of relevant experience, or

Master's degree in a related field and 15 years' of experience, or

Doctorate and 5 years' of relevant experience

Extensive experience in software development, and all phases of the software development life cycle.

Experienced with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) core or plugins.

Experience with Java, Go and C++ a plus.

Experience with Python.

Experience in Android Mobile Development.

Experience with Atlassian Software Suite including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence and Bamboo.

Experience Android SDK, Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET SDK, OpenGL, FFMPEG, and Spatial Lite.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Ability to work within a collaborative, geographically dispersed team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
