Summary of Position:
The Sous Chef will be dedicated to expanding the knowledge and training of your kitchen staff. You will work closely with the owner, chef de cuisine and general manager to continually enhance the offering for our guests, with cost controls and profitability always in mind. You must be driven to maintain the highest quality standards while working in an incredibly fast paced environment and have the ability to adapt quickly to change. Ideal candidates will be looking for an opportunity to further their culinary knowledge while putting their current training to the test with a well-established company.

Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations as the lead on shift
Maintain exemplary cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant
Positively reinforce training standards in areas of: Food preparation, presentation and safety.
Fosters a team environment and family culture.
Coordinate food and kitchenware orders
Check freshness and quality of all products and ingredients
Assist in continued development of menu offerings and specials
Standardize recipes and plate presentations

High level of influence on daily operations and menu development Qualifications:
Previous experience as a head chef, sous chef or lead line cook
Knowledge of cost and labor systems
Passion for food and cooking techniques
Strong leadership qualities and conflict resolution skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Current ServSafe certification or completion upon acceptance of position
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
