Job Description
Salary: $60,000-$75,000
Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability, and built-in quality.
We are looking to add an R&D engineer to our Manufacturing team at our Spring, Texas facility to develop new products and refine existing products through a process of researching, designing, prototyping and testing.
You will report to the Operations Manager
Responsibilities
Configure and develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) for production jobs
Design and prototype product lines similar to existing library of products
Configure 3D models
Create parts drawings
Review designs for manufacturing scalability
Develop and write basic production instructions
Develop BOM structure and provide feedback for improvements
Support production when issues come up and be able to help provide solutions
Maintain good working relationships with team members
Complete miscellaneous tasks and projects as directed by manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
5+ years in a manufacturing setting with steel fabrication
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D software)
Proficiency in MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Strong team player with ability to be hands-on if necessary
Mechanical experience preferred
