BASIC FUNCTION: Assembles steel, fiberglass, and wood doors.

Performs light millwork, i.e., applying casing to interior doors, assemble bi-folds, build transoms and miscellaneous woodworking.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles steel, fiberglass, and wooden doors consistent with Tindell's mission.

Checks all orders for accuracy.

Follows guidelines from supervisor.

Maintains a neat work environment.

Assists in unloading materials from vendors and organizing in shop area.

Maintains tools and machinery in good working condition and reports safety hazards to Supervisor.

Keeps all tools in locked cabinets while not in use.

Informs Supervisor of low inventory levels.

Makes recommendations to Supervisor for improvement or new products.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Ability to do simple arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.

Communicate with other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.

Knowledge of millwork machinery capabilities and limitations.

Knowledge of hand tools and small power tools.

Knowledge of wood products and steel door parts.
