Research Intern - RI CHEOR Davenport

Provides assistance in research experiments under direction of clinical research coordinator; obtains devices and equipment needed for research projects; maintains records.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists with research experiments under population health and pediatric sleep research area.

2. Supports data collection in primary care clinics.

3. Prepares sleep monitoring devices used to record diagnostic sleep results.

4. Records patient information in REDCap and maintains audit of transfer to secure research drive. Files consent forms and ensures appropriate disbursement of Clincard payment.

5. Assists with preparation of presenting research data. Prepares sections of posters and manuscripts under direction of Principal Investigator and clinical research coordinator. Prepares charts, graphs, and related data.

6. Maintains clean patient visit area. Cleans devices after use and ensures materials and other items used with patients/participants are cleaned.

7. Adheres to proper data safety techniques and procedures.

8. Performs miscellaneous related duties as needed for their personalized training and development.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

High School graduate with two years accredited college coursework majoring in science preferred.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Percent of time spent on:

50% Typing on computer

25% Answering phones

11% Miscellaneous paperwork associated with research and OSU faculty appointment

10% Acting as liaison

02% Xeroxing

02% Filing

Minimum physical requirements:

100% Kneeling / reaching

100% Finger dexterity 100% Talking / hearing / seeing
