Senior Accountant (RE, construction)

Financial Additions is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations for a GREAT real estate & construction company. This is an onsite position located in a brand new office building in Grapevine! Upbeat atmosphere with awesome co-workers and great comp package!

Responsibilities include:

Manage monthly general ledger close and balance sheet/income statement analysis including job costs, account reconciliations and variance analysis

Review intercompany accounting transactions and reconcile monthly to G/L, clean up monthly

Accounting for property acquisitions and dispositions including setting up new entities in Sage Intacct and when sold, compile project close-out documentation and equity partners distributions

Review project level SPE financials of staff accountant or outside accounting firm

Assist in treasury management duties â tracking, posting, and general money management

Prepare monthly WIP schedule and journal entries for direct and indirect job costs

Assist in the preparation of timely monthly and annual financial reporting and analysis as required for lenders and partners

Prepare year end audit and tax workpapers and oversee audit requests

Other duties as assigned Qualifications include:

5+ years of Accounting experience, preferably 2+ years in public accounting

Construction software experience preferably in Sage Intacct, plus strong Excel skills

Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize tasks

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance preferred #INDD
