Purpose : To Provide IT support, monitor and maintain the Computer Systems and Networks for the company The role is also responsible for managing all facets of the control Room operations including Management of Control Room operators whilst overseeing the core duties of Control Room in identifying, assessing, and coordinating a strategic response to security and emergency situations.

PRIMARY IT DUTIES

· Accurate personal time keeping is essential in this role. Ensure that control room staff are reporting 15 minutes prior to shift commencement.

· Ensuring that Control Room staff are handing over correctly and effectively. Shift handovers must be done with a full brief of shift activities and concise SITREPS of any current live operations.

· Ensure that Controllers are Monitoring the various locations via CUG through strong communication procedures with site contractors and supervisors and Mobile Patrol Teams.

· Ensure that Controllers are Channelling Client and Security Officers technical, life support and service requirements to relevant department heads.

· Analysing and relaying all field reports in a coherent and detailed manner to Department Heads.

· Ensure that Daily reports concerning Incident Reports, Deployment, Security Officer Attendance, Vehicle deployment and fuel usage, are sent through to Operations Division and Country Manager no later than 09:30HRS by the Controllers.

· Effective liaison between Local Security Agencies.

· Maintaining an accurate directory of all Company, Client, Government Security Service (Police, Hospitals) personnel.

· Power management duties – Suitable stocks of fuel for on-site generator with monitoring and recording duties.

· Ensuring that control room operators are continuously trained in all facets of control room operations.

· Ensure Controllers are recording vehicle usage and vehicle movement. Reports to be sent through daily.

· All information gleaned during shift duties remains Private and Confidential.

SECONDARY DUTIES

· Monitor the use of internet in the office.

· Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications

· Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.

· Taking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.

· Setting up new user’s account and profiles, as well as dealing with passwords issues

· Conduction electrical safety checks on computer equipment

· Train staff about potential uses of existing technology

· Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

· Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems

· Identify problematic areas in the control room operations and implementing strategic solutions in time.

· Generate reports on incidents/ HSE and monthly reports as and when required.

· Provide technical IT support for the technical department as and when required.

· Any other job that will be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Must have a Diploma, Degree, or Professional Certificate in IT related field.

Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in the Control Room

Should have over two (2) years or more in Supervisory or Management role.

Should have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Good knowledge in the policies and procedures in the Control Room

Good written and verbal reporting skills

Ability to lead a team with strong leadership skills and principles.

Must be confident with strong analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
