Summary: Responsible for the design and implementation of all activities of the Quality function. These activities include ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable standards such as NSF, ASTM, CSA, etc. Responsible for disposition of defective material. Analyze and respond to customer complaints. Carry out other duties as may be assigned by Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Quality Supervisor is to daily perform top-quality operational duties safely and efficiently which include (but are not limited to) the following:

Directly supervise Quality Team Lead(s) and indirectly Quality Technicians and Inspectors.

Responsible for ensuring all required inspection is performed according to applicable test methods and at required frequencies.

Supervise all testing required for the qualification of new tooling or repair of existing tooling.

Ensure the calibration of test equipment against internal and agency standards and that calibration records are kept.

Maintain test equipment at ready status, and timely replace defective equipment.

Supervise the evaluation of customer complaints and report the results of investigations to stakeholders.

Manage identification, quarantine, analysis, and disposition of defective material.

Comprehend and apply pertinent standards like NSF, ASTM, CSA, as required.

Work with outside Inspection, or Listing agencies (NSF, Intertek) as required for product approval and site certification.

Conduct on the job training for all department personnel.

Participate in general administrative programs such as management initiatives, profit improvement or cost savings programs, material and energy conservation, etc.

Champion site and department safety objectives.

Perform special studies and/or duties as assigned by Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities: All Quality personnel.

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years in Quality preferred. Position also requires a background and working knowledge of statistics, injection molding, product inspection, and lab supervision. 2-4 years of supervision experience preferred. Supervision experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Education and/or Experience: BS/BA in Engineering, Science, or Quality preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions. Legible writing.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averaging with both whole and fractional numbers.

Reasoning Ability: Capable of applying written procedures to test results and initiate appropriate actions.
