Job DescriptionThe Custodial Foreman supervises custodial and utility workers engaged in cleaning buildings, offices and living quarters. Works under the direction of a designated supervisor.

Essential Functions

Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of custodial and utility workers.

Establishes the sequence of task to produce efficient work operations.

Performs inspections of building and offices, orders and assembles materials for job assignments.

Performs necessary counseling of employees and makes recommendations on disciplinary actions.

Evaluates employee performance and conducts on-the-job training.

Advises the Supervisor-Custodial Services or other designed supervisor of the progress of job assignments.

Direct task assignments of employees supervised.

Train employees and evaluate performance.

May operate state vehicles.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

High School graduate or equivalent.

hree years experience involving all phases of custodial work.

Ability to plan and assign tasks to employees.

Knowledge of material, methods, practices, supplies and equipment essential to the cleaning of minor repairs of building.

Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with supervisors and fellow employees.
