The (Senior) Manufacturing Training Specialist is part of the Training team, responsible for the manufacturing training program and onboarding of new staff as well as maintaining qualified status. The Specialist will collaborate closely with the manufacturing department and process subject matter experts.

What you will do:

Organize and facilitate process-related training sessions

Create, own, and maintain an onboarding program for all new staff.

Superuser and subject matter expert for learning management system (Cornerstone)

Lead the development of training materials, modules, and resources tailored to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing department.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and insights necessary for creating effective training content.

Ensure training materials are up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Continuously review and update training content to reflect changes in processes, technology, and regulations.

Drives continuous improvements, and standardization using lean, Six Sigma principles.

Minimum Qualifications:

This role can be filled at either the Specialist title or Sr Specialist title commensurate with the successful candidate's experiences.

BS degree required in biological sciences, engineering, or biotechnology/life sciences

Senior Training Specialist:

Minimum of 7 years experience working in Manufacturing.

3 years experience in training and development, with a focus on GMP manufacturing.

Training Specialist:

Minimum of 5 years experience working in Manufacturing

1 year experience in training and development, with a focus on GMP manufacturing.

Strong understanding of learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.

Knowledgeable of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s)

Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in autologous cell therapy manufacturing

Experience working with learning management systems
