Overview:
Assists the Assistant Dean and Program leadership in overseeing all student teaching operations in the GSE’s Education and Special Education Program.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate program operations to support the Education/Special Education program leadership, Instructor of Clinical Practice, clinical faculty coordinators, field supervisors, teacher candidates, school based and community partners
Act as initial point of contact for Long Island School District, NYC public school central office, and school-based personnel.
Liaise with site based teams and program leadership to enforce advisement and registration protocols for field and practicum courses.
Collaborate with the instructional designer to review, update, and ensure the quality of field and practicum courses in CANVAS.
Act as a conduit between the Office of Clinical Practice and college wide student services (Registrar and Academic Advising).
Generate and display student data and analytics using different applications to include Tableau, Banner, DegreeWorks, and Anthology Chalk & Wire, as well as others as implemented by GSE.
Design digital forms and surveys (Qualtrics & Microsoft Forms) to generate reports from teacher candidates, clinical faculty, and cooperating teachers/mentors.
Respond to inquiries from candidates on a broad range of issues to include registration, student personnel data, school placement verifications, and portfolio submissions.
Ensure that the Office of Clinical Practice’s procedures and communications conform to Touro and GSE policies and procedures.
Maintain consistent professional decorum and a consistent attitude of helpfulness toward students, faculty, and staff.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of candidate and faculty information and ensure that FERPA privacy regulations are followed within the Office of Clinical Practice.
Perform other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience
Bachelor Degree Required.
At least 3 years of progressively responsible administrative assistance experience relevant to this position’s job responsibilities
Extensive knowledge about the operation of New York City public schools is preferred.

Maximum Salary:
USD $62,000.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary:
USD $49,600.00/Yr.
Permanent
