HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the delegated nursing functions under the direction of the department manager and clinical nurses.

Assisting with direct patient care and clerical duties that are an essential function in the coordination of optimal patient care, including, but not limited to:Scheduling patients

Patient hygiene/toileting

Mobility assistance

Interdepartmental transportation

Vital signs

Charting

Ordering supplies

Cleaning and stocking patient areas

Chart audits

Interaction with all areas of the department.

Note: Position works Mon., Wed., and Fri. 7:45-4:15 p.m.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:

Required Education:

High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Medical Assistant training course at a vocational/technical school.

Required Experience:

None

Preferred Experience:

Successful completion of a Medical Assistant externship and two (2) or more years of job-related experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

None
