Job Summary:
As a Plastic Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the plastic extrusion equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Your primary responsiblity will be to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary repairs to keep the production lines running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and diagnose equipment break down and implement corrective measures to resolve the issues promptly.
Preform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery to ensure proper functioning.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedules for
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work
Provide training and support to the production staff on the operation of equipment, maintenance and safety procedures.
Help maintain the facility including preforming any necessary repairs or updates needed to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or
Experience with extrusion related maintenance – pipe or profile extrusion preferred
Experience with material conveyance equipment maintenance
Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations
Two years training in vocational/technical school electronics program preferred
Minimum five to ten years maintenance/electrical experience
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to read electronic schematics
Experienced in electronic and hydraulic troubleshooting
Basis mechanical skills
Ability to understand manuals, equipment capabilities
Good hand/eye coordination
Own and provide mechanic’s tools for own use
