About This Opportunity

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

Liase with Accounting to ensure accounting adjustments related to merchandise inventory are made accurately and timely. Investigate issues related to audits, driven by item setup, excess charges, and charges for canceled deliveries. Partner with asset protection on abnormal audits driven by merchandise purchases, through the logistics channels. Establish business requirements for Logistics Accounting enhancements. Provide store support through the closing of Service Now cases

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Financial Analysis: Analyze and report on costs related to merchandise billing, credits, and other logistics

activities. This includes monitoring and analyzing transportation self-distribution costs

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of logistics budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual

performance against budgeted numbers and provide variance analysis.

Cost Control: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the logistics operations. Work closely with operational teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports related to logistics operations, including monthly

financial statements, cost analysis reports, and variance reports.

Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure accurate accounting for

inventory for self-distribution.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes within the logistics function.Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls related to logistics operations. Work with internal and external auditors to provide necessary information and support.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, merchandising, and finance, to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.

Support Logistics Accounting ServiceNow cases.

Qualifications:

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Advanced knowledge in MS Office products.

Advanced knowledge of Oracle and PowerBI

Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, including cost analysis and variance analysis

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
