Job Description:

Join us at MSK for an exciting opportunity as an Electrician, where you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment at our 1275 York Avenue location.

Role Overview:

Assess job requirements by reviewing blueprints, diagrams, and work orders, discussing projects with customers, and determining vital materials and equipment.

Perform routine and niche electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with NY City electrical codes with minimal supervision.

Install, repair, replace, and test alarm and communication systems, electrical circuits, and equipment, including wiring for heat, light, and power.

Provide courteous and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and requests from customers.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring proper care and use of tools, equipment, and materials.

Adhere to institutional, departmental, and regulatory safety requirements at all times.

Document work hours, work order status, and required supplies for each assignment.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical experience.

Completion of vocational trade school or equivalent education.

Proficiency in NY City electrical codes and ability to handle both routine and complex assignments with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with special requirements for electrical service.

Core Skills:

Proficiency in English language for communication.

Ability to operate electrical testing equipment, drills, soldering iron, and specified safety gear.

Capability to interpret equipment service manuals, schematics, flow diagrams, trade blueprints, and specifications.

Strong mathematical skills.

Understanding of special requirements for electrical service in healthcare facilities.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Pay Range: $45.54-$72.93
